Basic materials for CAD
- [Instructor] Now that we have our data in our scene, our project is set, everything is organized and ready to go let's begin to bring our visualization to life. And we're going to start by working with some basic materials here in Unreal. Now if you've opened up the exercise files sometimes they may not match up to exactly the way I'm viewing them and that's the nature of Unreal. Sometimes the camera might shift or it might be different when you open it up. If that's the case just a couple tips and tricks to get around things. We organized everything into a structure over here in this Geometry, for example, folder that we've built in the Outliner. Just simply grab any one of these objects, in this case I'll grab the Rotor over here, and I'm just going to hit F in the viewport. So the F hotkey will frame us in at any time. So that's what I want to do right now, I just want to bring this kind of into front view of the Rotor and so that now we can start to work with it. A couple things…
