- [Instructor] We've seen how to use aliases and functions to work more productively with a Z shell and over time, people who work with specific technologies or systems have found it useful to bring together sets of aliases and functions in ways that make working with those systems easier. These purpose specific collections are often distributed as plugins with a focus on working more quickly with Git and other source control software, with Python and other development tools and with systems where shorthand for standard and custom commands speeds up the work. There are also themes which set the prompt in various colorful, helpful and customized ways. While we can find and add collections of useful add-ons manually and specify our own customizations in various files, there are configuration managers for Z shell that make the configuration, discovery and installation process a lot easier.
