- [Instructor] Before we dive in to Red Giant Universe, there's a few things that we should take note of. I would encourage you guys to go to RedGiant.com and under the Products section, head to Universe. And it's here that you can download a free trial to follow along, there may be some slight differences between what I'm showing in the full version, that includes that some presets might not be available, along with a few other things in terms of functionality. Also, you can check to see all of the host applications that Red Giant Universe can work in. It should be noted that we are focusing mainly on Premiere Pro and After Effects in this course, with a little bit of Avid Media Composer. Now if you have access to a premium membership, you're going to want to have the latest version of Premiere Pro 2020 and After Effects 2020 installed on your system. You can then download some exercise files to follow along with this course. There are actually four sets of downloads. One is a set of Premiere Pro exercise files, which is the majority of Chapter 1 and some of Chapter 3. So you can download that to follow along. There's also then a set for Avid Media Composer. And last but not least, there are two sets of downloads for After Effects, one containing the majority of Chapter 2 exercises. The other, which is just an example of heads up displays that I have built that primarily use universe and a few of the other Red Giant tools available, such as Track Code Particular and Track Code Form. Now once you get the exercises, if you decide to download them all, you'll want to put them all within a main folder called Universe Exercise Files. I then also recommend that you take the two After Effects folders and then just place them in a Universe After Effects sub-folder. So this is the folder structure that you want to see after you download those files and decided where to save those on your system. And one word about the Avid folder for Universe. With these files, you might need to reconnect it to the Avid Media Composer project, and what you could do is right-click the project to open it in Avid Media Composer. And what you want to do is double-click the Footage bin. For any reason that the media is disconnected, simply select those files, go to the File menu, and under the Input Source Browser. So I've already hopped inside the Universe Avid folder, and I'm highlighting the actual clips that you'll need to reconnect to. There are six in total. Once you've highlighted them, so you can click and Control + click on a PC to select these. Or on a Mac, click and Command + click them. Then go down here and press the link button to relink to those files. And then simply start going into your exercise bin, and then you can double-click the 1.4 Stylized 2 to start off exploring Red Giant Universe.
