- [Instructor] In this movie, we're going to be exploring the fundamentals of materials and material creation using the standard 3D pipeline right here inside the Unity. Now, to demonstrate this, I've opened up a sample project which you can see inside the Viewport. This is a sample project that is included inside the exercise files, but you can also download it from the Unity asset store. It's the puzzle creator kit, a kind of fun mouse-trap scene in which you have to guide a marble from the start of the environment to the end. This is a vibrant, fun, colorful, playful environment, and that's thanks largely to the materials and the lighting and the way they come together inside this scene here. I'm going to start by exploring how we can access the material for a particular object, how we can change it and how we can create and reassign materials to objects here inside the scene.
