- [Instructor] Let's take a look at some popular 2D game frameworks to help you pick the one that's right for you. The first one I want to talk about is GameMaker: Studio, it's created by a company called YoYo Games, and it's really geared towardS beginner level developers. Here are some of GameMaker: Studio's features, GameMaker is a great tool for making 2D games, it's incredibly powerful, and a lot of well known indie success stories got their start in GameMaker. Games such as Hotline Miami, Hyper Light Drifter and Super Crate Box, just to name a few. GameMaker supports drag and drop event based coding, this is good for people who are not used to coding, or comfortable with it, and it allows you to drag code blocks on to your game objects, and build your game without any coding at all.
