- [Narrator] Before you actually publish a game, you're going to need to spend a lot of time polishing it, and cleaning it up to get it ready for others to play. Let's take a look at a game that I created called Dragon Sweeper, and we'll go through the process of how it started as a prototype during a game jam, all the way up to when I published it on itch.io. If you're not familiar with itch.io, it's a really great indie online game store that allows you to distribute your game, and also set unique prices. In this case, I offered Dragon Sweeper for free, and you have the option of donating money if you like the game itself. Every few months, I like to take part in a large online game jam called Ludum Dare. The original version of my game actually scored very high during Ludum Dare 33.
