Lightmapping settings
- [Instructor] In the preceding chapter, we took a look at light baking otherwise known as lightmapping which lets us precalculate the lighting inside the scene. It was pretty simple to set that up. All we had to do was select objects in the scene make sure from the inspector that they're marked as static and also make sure that the light inside of the scene, for example this point light here is set to the mixed mode. And then from the lighting tab we can either hit the generate lighting button to calculate the lighting on demand or we can activate the autogenerate checkbox for the lighting to automatically be recalculated every time a significant change happens. In this movie I want to take a look in more depth. At the settings we find here on this lighting panel because they are critical to the quality of your lightmaps. For this Cornell box we have some pretty straightforward settings and it's easy to get this looking…
