- In this movie, I want to consider…the basic light types available to us…inside the Unity.…To demonstrate this, I've opened up…the Lighting Start scene here inside the Unity Project.…This is included in the exercise files.…We have this pretty basic scene here…in which I've used the lighting window…that we've seen before,…to effectively remove all of the lighting from the scene.…We have a pretty standard blank starting point.…We have, you can see from the Hierarchy panel,…no lights at all inside this scene here.…
What I'm going to do now is add our very first light type.…You can add a light to the scene…by simply choosing GameObject…and then move down to Light and we get a range…of different light types that we can add.…The most important types are the Directional Light,…the Point Light and the Spotlight.…These are the primary light types.…The Directional Light is really great…for simulating a huge light source far off in the distance,…like moonlight or sunlight.…The Point Light, well that's useful…for simulating artificial light,…
