- Ambient occlusion is one…of the best effects you can add in to your game.…What we see in our scene right now,…looking at it in the game view and turning off stats,…is that everything is placed in.…It's lit and it's mostly in shadow,…well, shadowed here and there.…I've got on bloom and also depth of field,…so there's a good visual look to it.…However, some objects, even though they're snapped…down on the ground, appear to be floating a little bit.…They need some ambient occlusion.…Ambient occlusion, then, is the blocking…of bounced light by adjacent objects.…
We've already included some of it in the light baking,…but I'll add on an ambient occlusion image effect as well,…which is a screen space occlusion…that really helps ground everything in here.…I'll select my first-person controller one more time,…filtering by FP and selecting, and then opening that up…and picking that first-person character.…In here, I'll scroll down under my other image effects…and I'm going to put on some ambient occlusion.…I'll add a Component, and under Image Effects...…
