- [Jesse] Let's talk a little bit about how to get people to play your game. There are a few keys to success. The ideal situation is that you can get your game in as many hands as possible. If people can't play your game on the system they like, most of them won't give it a try. Gone are the days of platform-exclusive games. While a few of them exist, usually these are for very high level games and AAA studios. For the average developer, especially when you're getting started, you're going to want to reach as many devices as possible. Focus on ways to make your game cross-platform. Again, this is about using the same code base and being able to compile them for different devices. Next, make it easy for people to find your games on each platform's most popular stores. Spend the time and the research to figure out which store is ideal for distributing your game.
