- [Voiceover] Game development teams require different kinds of programmers that specialize in a different area of game production such as game play, AI, or multi-player networking. Takes a lot of different kinds of programmers to make a game. These are a few different kinds of programmers we might expect to see on a game development team. Keep in mind that the title and job responsibilities can change greatly from one company to another, so treat these as general titles. A Lead Programmer oversees all the programmers responsible for creating computer code which runs various facets of the game. They're also responsible for the technical specification of the game and manages the overall code development process. It is also their job to make sure that the team delivers on time and within budget. Gameplay Engineers, or Game Programmers design the software code for the game.
