- In this video, we'll take a look at who makes the audio in a video game and how you might start your path to one day working in game audio. There are many different audio roles that contribute to a game. Composers write the music for the game. Sound designers create the sound effects in the game. Audio designers help with the overall design of the game, how the audio comes together, and implement the audio assets into the game. Voiceover directors work with voice actors to record the dialogue for characters in the game. Audio programmers create and edit software tools to help enhance the audio in the game. Games are interactive pieces of art. All of the audio elements need to come together to help tell a cohesive story.
