- [Instructor] When it comes to content creation,…there's certainly no shortage of applications available…to create content for Unity.…We're going to take a look at some of the file formats…that Unity supports and some of the rules around…exporting those assets to bring over to Unity in here.…So, let's take a look at the 3D formats that Unity supports.…So, right at the top of the list you'll see Autodesk FBX.…I put that there as a reason.…That's what we're using in this project,….fbx file format, and you'll find most projects…and most pipelines involving Unity…will rely on the FBX file format.…
It supports models, it supports animation,…deformation and it also will hook up your basic materials,…and, if you embed the media, it will transport all…of your textures with it as well.…Of course, you can see with the list,…we have everything from .obj files down to .xf…and those are file formats that are going to bring…typically just your model or your mesh over.…Nothing else, no animation or associated materials…or textures with them and, down at the bottom,…
