- [Instructor] Let's talk about the tools you can use for making your game's artwork. When creating a game's art, you'll have to decide on a style that fits the core mechanic of the game play. Use retro or pixel art to invoke a classic game style, illustration for a more comic or lighthearted game, painted or hand-drawn for a more handcrafted feel, or 3D rendered or real-time graphics for a more modern aesthetic. Each of these styles will invoke a particular feeling when the user is playing your game. While they don't affect the core mechanic itself, it does help to match up a style with a particular game play you're trying to achieve. The first tool we'll talk about is Photoshop. Photoshop is one of the more popular tools out there. It has support for both high- and low-res rasterized art.
