Bringing the environment to life with ambient sound

- The audio in a game is as much part of the nuance of the game world as the visuals. Without audio, this game feels rather still, unnaturally so, and a little dead. We expect to hear a din of a factory and then localized sounds from our machines. I'm going to put audio in, starting out with the ambient factory noise. But before I do that, I'll take care of a nagging problem of two listeners. When we hit play, we can see at the bottom of the screen there is a note, "There are 2 audio listeners in the scene. "Please ensure there's always exactly "one audio listener in the scene." Here's what that means. An Audio Listener is on the camera, or on the player. I'll go and select my Main Camera, typing in "Main" in the hierarchy and selecting the Main Camera, and we can see a default Audio Listener component. There's no parameters to this. The Audio Listener functions like ears, allowing us to hear whatever sound is there. The Main Camera is created when we start up our project in Unity…
