- [Narrator] While you may be familiar some of the more popular 2D game engines, such as GameMaker and Unity 3D, let's take some time to look at some additional frameworks that are good for beginners, all the way up to more advanced developers. The first on this list is Construct 2, which is specifically designed for beginning developers. Let's take a look at some of Construct 2's features. Construct 2 is a great game engine for beginners similar to GameMaker Studio, but geared more towards casual web games. It has a dedicated IDE. It uses drag-and-drop coding with support for JavaScript plugins. It's designed for people who are just beginning to make games for the first time, and it supports publishing to desktop, mobile, with a heavy emphasis on being able to publish to HTML5 through the web.
