Variables as the output of activities

- [Instructor] Oftentimes when you're creating automation you'll find yourself having to use some kind of an activity that stores its output into a variable. And what I mean by that is if I type in read text here and I drag my read text file into my sequence, notice that I'm prompted to put in a file name here or over here on the right side, I can scroll through and look at my configurable properties. So the file name, I would open my double quotes, type in C/somefile.txt. And when the activity reads that file it's going to want to put the data from that file into a variable. And it's expecting a string. Your first tendency might be just to start typing here and say my file contents and hit return. What's interesting is, you don't get any warnings and if we jump down to our variables and we scroll through the variables, notice that we have no variables that say my file contents. So this is one small problem that I have with UiPath, they don't alert you to the fact that that variable…
