Using states

- In this exercise, we're going to explore a very important concept: states. This is how stuff changes. For example, a simple button actually has three states. What it looks like when the cursor is over it, what it looks like if the button is up and nothing is over it, and what it looks like when the mouse is pressed. So up over and down, states. Essentially, a state change gives the user a visual clue that something is live. So let's get started. And to get yourself started, create a new project named States, and use an iPhone XS Canvas. When it opens, import the gothic.jpg image in the states folder found in your chapter download and all ready to go. So what we're going to do is we're going to come down here and we're going to put a like icon in this big dot. So to start, what you do is you select the icon tool, and we'll just click over here on the canvas. And we'll just look for a heart which is right there. And…
