- Now that you've completed your practice sheets, it's a good time to compare your letters to the ones on your chart. Look closely and carefully at your practice sheets. You might want to pause this video while you make a tiny pencil check mark next to your best three letters of n, a and o. The ones that most closely match your chart. This will help you develop your critical eye. Here are some check points that will help you judge how well your letters, match the letters on your chart. First, check to make sure you can see the mark of the 45 degree angle, here, and here, and here, and here, and here, and here, and here, and here, and here. Now, look at the total width of each letter. Imagine if you could pick up each letter and lay it over the other letter. They're exactly the same width. It would be a perfect match. Now look at the space inside the n. It should be about two stroke widths wide. Now look at the stroke width. It should be the same on all the vertical strokes. The width…
