Join James Williamson for an in-depth discussion in this video Typekit in action, part of Typekit Quick Start.
- In this chapter, we're going to focus on using Typekit…to deploy fonts both online and locally to your desktop.…But before we get into those specifics,…I wanted to take a moment…and preview the project I'll be working on…and show you Typekit in action.…To do that, I browse to the finished project file,…which you can find at www.desolve.org/typekit.…My inspiration for this was old jazz album covers.…I love those.…And so, with the ability to use…all these really cool Typekit web fonts,…I thought it would be really neat to kind of…come up with a fake album cover…for "Up and Running with Typekit."…So I took a picture of me,…and I'm supposed to be looking introspective there,…but it looks more pensive, I think.…
I don't know.…At any rate, I'm using two fonts here.…Acta Display and Nimbus Sans Condensed.…And I'm using different weights…and variations of those fonts.…Once you get past the fake album cover,…if I scroll down a little bit,…I've got some of my favorite quotes on typography,…and at the very bottom,…I've got a list of thanks to both Typekit,…
