Activating fonts in InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop
- [Instructor] InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop all let you add fonts from Adobe Fonts, but in slightly different ways. If I come to my font menu on my character formatting controls in InDesign, you see that I have the option here to find more. So when I click on that, I see a list of all fonts that are available to sync. Those that are currently synced have a tick next to the cloud. This means that you can activate fonts directly from within InDesign without having to switch to the Adobe Fonts website. In Illustrator, you have the same option in the character panel. You also, from under the type menu, have this option, more from Adobe Fonts. This is an option that curiously seems to have disappeared from InDesign. In Photoshop, it seems they didn't get the memo about the name change, because the equivalent option still says add fonts from Typekit. It takes you to the same place, to the Adobe Fonts website, but at the time of recording, Photoshop doesn't have the option to…
