Work collaboratively in agile teams with Trello

- [Doug Rose] In many ways, Trello and Agile are a natural fit. Trello is a simple, web-based tool, and Agile is a lightweight way for teams to collaborate. So both Trello and Agile put a lot of emphasis on better team communication. The Trello interface is familiar to anyone who's ever taped note cards to an office wall. But the real power comes from its integration with other web-based services. There's a very good chance that many of the services you already use will integrate well with Trello. To get the most from this course, you should have some understanding of the Agile mindset. You'll see a lot of key Agile terms and concepts. If you haven't worked on an Agile team, then you might want to start by watching some of the courses on Agile or Scrum. This course is designed to go from zero to Agile. That means we'll start at the very beginning of your product development. You'll create a free Trello account and go all the way through a typical Agile product delivery. You'll follow the journey of our six-person Scrum team. They'll be working under the name The Romulans, and have three developers, two customers, and a ScrumMaster. To keep things simple, most of the work will be done by our ScrumMaster, Victor Gonzalez. He works for the fictional company, Red30Tech. Both Agile and Trello have the flexibility to be applied in many different ways. This course will give you some of the best practices I've seen after working with many Agile teams in several different organizations. Once you get up and running you can customize the setup to better fit your needs. Agile teams work best with simple tools that encourage face-to-face communication. When set up correctly, that's one of the areas where Trello really shines. So let's dive in and see how we can use Trello to work best with our Agile teams.
