Assigning colors to track your progress
- [Instructor] After organizing your structure map to track your story, your paperwork, and your schedule, the next step is assigning colors to help you track your progress. I use specific colors to let me know what material is yet to be shot, has been shot, what's edited, and anything that I might assign to my assistant to cut. As a side note, if you watch the lesson in the chapter about scripted workflows where it talks about assigning colors, this process is exactly the same. But let's review it again. Starting here from our main structure map template, the first step is assigning the labels for our progress. So there are two ways to do this. The first is to click on our card, go to labels, and start editing. But once again, I like to use my handy-dandy hotkey, which is L. So I hover over the card, I hit L, and that brings up my labels. And I'm just going to assign a few color labels to help me track the progress of my first edit. So for purple, we're gonna call this to be shot…
