Using shape controls

- [Instructor] The shapes in Tinkercad look fairly straightforward, but with the Inspector and the shape controls, there are many customization options. Let's start by bringing a box into the workplane and then orbiting and zooming in. If you need to, you can either show or hide the Inspector by clicking on this arrow. Let's try adjusting the length and the width using the sliders. You can adjust these, and you can also decide to type in a value to be more accurate. While editing this way gives you a lot of accuracy right off the bat, there's a little bit of a hitch. So check the dimensions by mousing over the grips. They match the values in the Inspector. But if we start adjusting the shape now in the workplane and check those dimensions, they no longer match the dimensions in the Shape Inspector. So it's best to use these controls to alter the shape when you first add it to the workplane, and then be cautious about…
