Using Shape Generators

Now we'll focus on creating the handle in the center of our knob. To tackle this complex shape, we're going to use extrusion shape generator, and then spend some time refining the shape. Click on the arrow next to shape generators. And then choose Extrusion, and drag it into the work space. Now at first glance, this looks just like a cylinder, but the great thing about this tool, is that by altering this 2D profile, we'll change the shape of our extrusion. So, if you've ever used a pen tool in a graphics program, like Illustrator or Photoshop, this is going to feel like second nature. We'll grab the square grips and move them in. And move this one up. I'm kind of using the grid to help visualize and keep everything symmetrical. And we can also drag out these handles to bend our shape. Move them out a little. Stretch out this bottom. And then I think the last thing I want to do, is I want to actually create a point up here. And so I'll hold down the Option key, while I grab this…
