- Let's start by building the trophy base. I'm going to work with a series of stacked cylinders and toruses using the workplane to stack them, one on top of another. I'll start by going to the geometric shapes and choosing the cylinder. I'm going to drag out the grips to change the dimension to 120 by 70, and then change the height to 8.
And then I'm going to click and drag and sort of roughly center this on my workplane. Alright, now let's add another cylinder. To easily stack objects, let's use the Workplane tool. You can find it by using the Shortcut menu to jump to the Helper tools and dragging it from the Workplane. I'm going to drop it on top of this cylinder. Then I'll grab a second cylinder and put it sort of roughly in the center. This time I'm going to scale this object holding down the Alt Option key so that I scale from the center.
I'm going to scale this dimension to about 100 millimeters and then second dimension to 50. Then I'll let go of the Alt Option key and change the height to 16. Now let's add a torus. You can find it a little bit further down here on the Shapes panel. I'll grab a torus, move it into the workspace. And with the torus, I'm just going to roughly place it until I'm happy with how it looks.
I'm going to change the height and then also use the black cone grip to push it further down into the base. That looks pretty good. Now, as I'm working, I'm just quickly roughing in the shapes. Later on, I'll take the time to align everything perfectly. Alright, you're done with this step. You can move on to the next video.
