Part Maker
- With PartMaker, you can save a shape as a component to reuse again in the future. It speeds up your workflow and keeps commonly used parts at your fingertips. You can use a part of your own or follow along with the provided exercise file. So here I have a hex bore bearing that I'm planning to use in a future project. In the dropdown menu, go all the way down to the bottom and under YOU, you'll find the Part collection. Select the shapes in your document that you want to save as a part and choose, Create Part. Add a name, description, tags. You can choose whether it's a solid or a hole, and whether you want to lock the part size that will prevent you or others from scaling it in the future. And choose Save Part. Now you can see that the hex bore bearing is ready to use under your part collection.
