- In this video, we'll create a crest and use an SVG file to create a pattern. SVG files are a graphic vector format. It's a pretty common format for logos, but also a wide array of decorative images. I've picked one to use as a relief pattern on a cylinder shape. So let's get started. I'm going to zoom out a little bit here and then scroll up to the cylinder shape, drag it into the workspace. I'm going to change the color just to keep it separate from the orange of our base. And then I'm going to scale this up. I'm going to use the Shift key to scale it up to 85 millimeter diameter, and then change the height to 4 millimeters. Alright, now let's import our SVG file. Import SVG files the same way that we import STL files. You can navigate to the Exercise Files and choose Wavy_Star and choose Open and Import.
