Exporting a 3D design

- [Instructor] When you're finished with the design, you can download it. This is the propeller that I made earlier in the course. Use the provided exercise file to follow along or use a project of your own. On the tool bar on the upper right hand side, choose export. Now because I didn't have anything selected, Tinkercad is automatically including everything in the design, but if you'd like to export a selection of shapes, choose them before you click export. Now we have three options for 3D downloads. STL is the most common format for 3D printing. Most desktop 3D printers use this format. OBJ is another common format that is easily imported into a wide variety of 3D software. OBJ files also contain color. So if you're planning to 3D print with a full color process or use the full color digital file on screen, OBJ is the best choice.
