Critiquing our design
Let's take a look at our printed part and make some notes about where we need improvement. We're going to look at our original part and our 3D printed part side by side. Right now we're looking at the front view. Overall, I'm happy with the size and shape. It looks good. But, we have some strong stepping. These are places where the layer lines are really prominent. This is because we printed our first draft with low resolution settings. We can improve this with a high resolution setting in our final print. Also note that the point is a little bit different, but I actually kind of like it and so I'm going to keep it. Now let's move on to the side view. A couple notes here. So, it looks like the base is just a little bit too tall. And so I'll change that in the next iteration. Also, on the original it has a nice sloping edge, and I kind of miss that. So, I'm going to make sure to make that change too. We could also use a better curve profile. I sort of roughed it in the first time, and,…
