Creating holes

In this video we are going to talk about creating holes. So to start with I'm going to go to the top here, and click on the show whole shapes, and that is going to bring it to the top of the panel. I am going to use a cylinder hole and drag it onto the work plane here. So now on our oven knob we measure the interior dimension of the sleeve at 6.9 milimeters, and, so I'm going to round that up to seven. And I'm going to scale down the cylinder to a seven millimeter diameter, and then increase the height. And again, I'm going to go ahead and shift click on our oven knob, shift click on our whole object, and choose Adjust, Align, and click them so they're centered. And I'm actually going to choose to drive this whole shape a little bit further down into my knob. Maybe about nine millimeters. Looks pretty good to me. And when we select both of these objects, and group them. You can see how the hole is carved in our object. Now, the back of our stove knob actually has sort of a ridge here…
