Creating circular patterns

- [Instructor] Let's create a circular pattern, sometimes called a polar array. I'll use the letter W to make a bracelet shape. On the Shapes panel, navigate to the drop down menu and choose Text and numbers. At the bottom I'll find the W, and I'll place that sort of in the bottom center of the workplane. Switch to a top view and an orthographic view and then hit F to fit to view. Now we start a circular pattern by using the duplicate tool. Ctrl + D to duplicate, move it off to the side, and then I'm going to rotate, in this case to 42 degrees, and place this over here. Zoom out a little bit and repeat Ctrl + D several times. Now, not every angle and position is going to create a full circle. Choosing one of the interior snaps, perhaps an increment of 22 and a half degrees, is an easy and predictable way to assure you end up with an evenly spaced circular pattern.
