Aligning shapes
- [Instructor] The align tool centers or aligns several shapes. Let's explore how it works. Start with the provided exercise file. Let's line up a series of letters. I'll use Control + A to select all the letters on the work plane. And then I'll go to the Align tool. You can also use the shortcut L. You can see a series of dots and by mousing over each, you get a preview of the alignment. Try centering them or aligning them to the top. If you see that the dot is grayed out, that means they're already aligned. Like over here in the z-axis, all of these letters are the same height so they can't be aligned along the z-axis. You might also use the align tool to center two objects. Start with the provided exercise file. I have a box and a sphere that's been converted to a hole. I'll select both with a bounding box and then use the shortcut L to align. I want to align them at the center on all three axes. Now, notice…
