Understanding the layer section's settings in the Material Lab
- [Instructor] In this lesson we'll start to look at the material layers section of the material lab starting with the general settings of the material. For this lesson from the file scenes menu and the material editor sub menu, I'm using the cloth scene. While building more advanced materials is outside the scope of this course, I do want to give you an overview of the various settings so you know where to find them when needed. I'll lock the camera so I can get back to this view easier when needed. I'll select the studio floor object in the viewport and from the context menu disable it so that it is not included in the render. I'll go ahead and start the interactive render and then from the browser and the basic plastic materials folder. I'm going to add a green plastic material to the cloth object by drag and dropping the material onto the object.
