- [Instructor] I talk a lot about goals and topics. Well, it seems like the obvious goal of an alpha test is to assess and help deliver a quality product. It's not. That's an objective. Goals and topics are far more specific. Think about the app that is coming into test. It has features and functionality that make it stand out in the market. There may be lots of other apps out there that do the same thing, but yours takes a different approach. Your app is completely unique and focused on preforming very specific functions. No two apps are identical, and even if they do the same things, the nuts and bolts are different. The simple way to think about this is goals target essential features and topics target overall functionality.
