When you have a set of many variables, you can calculate the correlation coefficient between each pair of variables. The result is a matrix of correlations. Joe shows you how to use the Tool Pak Correlation tool to quickly calculate the matrix. You can use the Regression tool to calculate the multiple correlation coefficient. Joe also shows you how to use the Regression tool to calculate partial correlation -- pulling out the true correlation between two variables that are correlated with a third variable.
