Layout containers
- [Trainer] Let's look at how layout containers can help improve the layout of a dashboard. The layout containers are found in the object section of our dashboard pane. There are two sorts, horizontal and vertical. But first, we're going to add a horizontal container to our sheet. To make things a bit clearer, it's always a good idea to change the background of your layout container to a different color. For this, we click on the black triangle select Format Container and we pick a shading. Now, we can see where the container is within our view. This is useful, because if we have a second container, below the first, we can then color this one a different color. And it's clear that there are two containers in this view, one on top of the other, so we know that when we drop elements into it, we know which one we've put it into. So what happens when we put an element into a layout container? Let's move our bar into the top one. Let's insert the container across the horizontal width. We…
