Identify the earlier or later of two dates
- [Instructor] One of the most common questions asked about two events is which happened first? And a related question, also very important, is which do we expect to happen first? In this movie, I will show you how to identify the earlier and later of two dates, that way, you can answer the questions we just posed. My sample file is the earlier or later workbook, and you can find it in the chapter four folder of your exercise files collection. This workbook contains a list of clients, which you can see here in the client name column. They have asked our hotel to submit proposals for hosting a conference, and there are two dates that I have in my dimensions list. The first is the proposal required date, and the second is projected completion. What I want to do is to identify the earlier or later of those two dates. To do that, I can create a calculated field.
