- [Instructor] First thing we wanna do is extract our data and then apply the filter to it. We right click on our data source and do Extract Data. Here's when we're gonna apply the filter, we can do that here at the Filter and we wanna filter on Region. And for our example, we just wanna have the South and West filter selected. Hit OK. Extract. Write somewhere where you wanna store it. We'll call it our South West Extract. Hit OK. When I have our extracted data only showing the South and West regions. Next, we're gonna rename our data source to make it clear that we've created an extract and this is a subset of data, so we'll call it South and West Sales Extract. And then we wanna add that information to our title and right click Title and we'll say Regional Sales using Data Source Name last updated at Update Time. Click OK.
