- [Instructor] Dashboards allow us to group sheets together into a single dashboard to present to our users. But there's a couple of design rules that we should obey when producing a dashboard. This helps improve the layout and understanding the data that's going on. You always have to remember that you have a limited amount of space with a dashboard, so you must use your real estate carefully. The first thing is to always fix the size of your dashboard. Using the automatic size will fill any screen that you're using, but the problem with this is is you're never quite sure what the dashboard is gonna look like. The first thing whenever you create a dashboard is to fix the size. There's a number of pre-built sizes that you can use, or you can set it to custom size. Which one you use depends on where your dashboard is gonna be viewed. If, for example, your organization you know which size screen everybody's gonna use, you could set the custom size to that dashboard. For our example…
