Cross database joins

Cross database joins: Tableau 10 for Data Scientists
Cross database joins: Tableau 10 for Data Scientists

Data can be stored across two or more distinct databases or files, maybe a order table in one, a customer table in another and these need to be merged into one . Tableau Zen Master Matt Francis shows how cross database joins combine tables from separate data sources in a single unified data source. This can now be done within Tableau, no 3rd party code is needed to achieve this any more.
