- [Instructor] In the previous movie, I showed you how to create Level of Detail Expressions that included whatever dimensions were shown in a view. In this movie, I will show you how to use the Exclude keyword, which removes this specific level of detail from the calculation. My sample file is the Exclude Workbook, and you can find it in the Chapter06 folder of your exercise files collection. I'll start by creating a visualization that shows my data as a series of horizontal bars based on quarters. I'll start by dragging Product Category to the Columns area and I will also add the sum of the order total to that column shelf as well. So I have Order Total here and I'll drag that in and there's my display. I'd like to display this data on a quarterly basis, so I will drag Order Date to the Rows area, and then I will click that pulls-down arrow and change it from year to quarter, so receive that data.
