Reference lines are a great way to enhance a viz and show how data is performing relative to a set value. However, sometimes it’s advantageous to have control over the value of the reference line. Dynamic references can be created by using a parameter to take a users input. Tableau Zen Master Matt Francis teaches how to create a parameter and use it to control a dynamic reference line.
