Correcting join errors
- [Instructor] It's easy to combine data in Tableau Prep using joins. We simply use dragging and dropping our fields together to combine them into a larger dataset. We can combine data from individual sheets, within the same workbook, or different workbooks spread anywhere in our system. However, what happens when a join doesn't quite work, how do we fix those errors? To show that, let's look at this flow that I've already started building. Now I've already combined the audience scores and the critic scores from some of Steven Spielberg's films. I've then cleaned those and I've then brought in the budgetary information. So far my data looks like this, I have the year, the film, the audience score and the critic score, and some information about the budget. Now I've been asked to add in the box office information. So this exists in my file over here and I can bring that in, and I can now combine this with the rest of my dataset. Now I want to apply this after the very final clean step,…
