- [Instructor] This bar chart shows our sales per product category. And subdivided by subcategory. We might be interested in wanting to know, what's the average sales for our categories across each of our subcategories? So for that we want an average line. We simply drag it into the canvas. We then have the option to say, do we want it applied to the entire table, the pane, or the cell? In this case we want to do it across each of the panes. Because we're interested in the average across each category. Now we've got our average line across each one. To make it a bit clearer, we're gonna edit the reference line and change the label to be the value. This way, we can see the value of our reference line and the value is the average. The reference line now displays the value of the average for each of our panes. This reference line is dynamic.
