Adding a Quick Filter to a worksheet
- [Narrator] Many times when you share visualization with a colleague, you explain the data that's contained within it. These conversations are usually brief, so you want to filter your data as quickly as you can to get to your point. In this movie, I will show you how to create a quick filter based on your data. The sample file is the QuickFilter Tableau Workbook, and you can find it in the "Chapter06" folder of your Exercise Files collection. If you want to create a filter quickly, you can move your mouse pointer over the field by which you want to filter, and in this case, I will choose "State," so I'll go over to "Property Info," and I have a field name "Property State." I will click the down arrow, I also could have right-clicked the pill, and then, the second item is "Show Filter." And you can see that the filter appears at the right side of the screen. It shows all of the values for "Property State." If you have the "Show Me" panel displayed, then it will hide the filter panel.…
