- [Instructor] The licensing model for System Center 2016 has changed. It is now moving to a physical core license. The core base licensing will align with Windows Server 2016, so it can provide a consistent licensing metric for managed virtual machines. Server manager licenses are added to client management licenses. Client management licenses are now referred to as CML. Server ML's are required for managed devices that run server operating systems or OSE's. System Center 2016's server ML's will be core based as mentioned earlier. So let's talk about how we're going to license them. To license the OSE's all physical cores must be licensed in the server being managed. So we're going to talk in the future about the different types of servers that we can use for System Center operation manager and for System Center the entire suite there is a management server.
