Deploying the Operations Manager agent
- [Instructor] For a System Center Operations Manager to monitor a Windows device, we need to push out an agent to that device, and we do that by first going to the administration in the lower left hand corner, and then going to Device Management, as you see here, and going to Agent Managed. We're going to right click on Agent Managed, and click on the Discovery Wizard, and we can see a wizard pops up and we have a few different options. The first option is the Windows computers option. We'll go ahead and choose that, and click next. Now we have a few different ways we can discover a computer. We can choose the automatic way, or we can choose advanced discovery. Which allows us to specify advanced discovery options. We can choose servers and clients, servers only, or clients only, and a client only operating system would be something like a Windows seven, eight, or 10 operating system.
