- [Instructor] Prior to deploying any content for our clients, let's discuss how to prepare for content delivery. SCCM needs to be prepared for the content that will be brought in from distribution. The following are locations that clients access content from. The first would be your intranet or on-premises location. This can also include remote offices, provided that they are connected somehow to your main office. This can be done through VPN, MPLS, or other connectivity method. Distribution points can use either HTTP or secure HTTPS using certificates. You can only use a cloud-based distribution point in an intranet for fallback when on-premises distribution points are not available. The second option for content distribution would be Internet. It requires distribution points to only accept secure HTTPS through certificates. You can, however, use a cloud-based distribution point for fallback as well. And the last option would be workgroup.
