- [Instructor] Let's take a look at supersedence in action. We've talked about supersedence in previous videos, but let's actually show a demonstration of how that works. I've gone ahead and added a second PuTTY software application .69 currently we've got the .70 which we're referring to as version seven. So what I want to do is I want to cause any releases of .69 that may have been installed to be superseded by our release .70. So let's go ahead and right click on our .70 and go to Properties and from here we'll click on the Supersedence tab. Let's go ahead and click Add and then we'll browse to our .69, double click, and now we're presented with a couple of options. One is to not replace, so that way both the .70 and .69 will both be there, or we can say go ahead and put in the .70 and we can also choose to uninstall the old version. Once we've got that set up, we'll go ahead and click OK and we'll click Apply. Now if you like to have both the old version and the new version…
